Kristin Roth, Pediatric Speech & Language Therapy

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes.  I accept most insurance.  I am in-network with BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois - PPO and Blue Choice.  I am proud to be a network provider with Tricare North, allowing me to offer pediatric speech and language therapy to the children of our country's service members.  I am happy to bill as an out-of-network provider on your behalf for most other insurance companies.

How do you involve parents and caregivers?

Parents are always welcome to participate in therapy and questions are encouraged.  Often, parents are given a home program to work on with their child between therapy sessions.  A home program is not meant to replace therapy, but to complement it.  The purpose of a home program is to provide continuity, reinforcement, and repetition of the speech or language skills that are targeted in therapy

How long will my child need therapy?

Each case is different and depends on many factors.  The type and severity of the disorder, cooperation of the child during therapy, consistent therapy attendance, and parent participation with home programs all play a part in the length of time treatment may be needed.
