Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

**** NEW INFORMATION****  As of 3/20/2020, due to the governor's announcement of the 'shelter in place' order, all in-person services located in my Lake Bluff office or elsewhere will be suspended until at least 4/8/2020.  I am offering speech and language teletherapy during this time.

Hello to all of my clients and families,

I trust this notice finds you safe and well. I felt the need to let you know of how the current coronavirus situation is impacting my services.

I plan to be open and serving patients, as long as it is safe to do so.  I will continue to use all precautions needed to prevent the spread of germs, including frequent hand washing/sanitizing, avoiding touching my face, keeping clothes clean and sanitary, and sanitizing of frequently contacted surfaces. If I don’t hug or shake hands, please forgive me.

I am wiping down surfaces between patients and cleaning any areas visibly soiled.   Any toys that are used are cleaned/sanitized between patients.

I am endeavoring not to bring any items other than is what is essential to any home or child care facility visits.  In the event of local school cancellations, all home and child care facility visits will be cancelled.

If my children’s school closes, I may need to alter the date/time of our speech sessions as I will need to have child care in place.

If I or a member of my family is having cold/flu symptoms and/or is running a fever, I will cancel sessions until the individual is fever free for at least 24 hours.

I will ask the same of you. If you or a family member is having cold/flu symptoms and/or running a fever, please cancel our session. I will not be upset: rather, I will be grateful for taking good care of you and me.

I will have hand sanitizer at my door entrance.  Feel free to use it as you come and go, or you may use the handwashing sink in the bathroom across the hall.

If you have any questions, please ask. Things can change daily and we need to keep open lines of communication.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child’s growth and development. Here’s to a safe and sound rest of 2020.

Best,

Kristin Roth, M.A. CCC-SLP
